Chunhong Mao is a research associate professor. Mao’s primary research has focused on three inter-connected areas: 1) the development of bioinformatics software and databases for biological data management, data integration, data mining, data curation, and data analysis; 2) high-throughput genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, and metabolomics data analysis and network analysis; and 3) biological data curation. Mao’s current research projects include Pathosystems Resource Integration Center (PATRIC), Integrative Genomics Approach to Computational Assessment of Threats (IGACAT), Proteomics Architecture of Atherosclerosis (GPAA), metabolomic signatures of Coronary Artery Disease (CAD) associated genotypes, and genomics and transcriptomics analysis of Y chromosome genes in mosquitoes.
