Bio

Gregor von Laszewski is a Research Professor at the Biocomplexity Institute and Initiative at the University of Virginia. He has long-standing experiences in High-Performance Computing, Cloud Computing, and Grid Computing.

With a wealth of knowledge and expertise, he has made significant contributions to the fields of High-Performance Computing, Cloud Computing, and Grid Computing. His interests are in making the use of advanced cyberinfrastructure easier for application scientists. He is currently involved in Deep Learning Application performance studies and analytics service workflow management. He likes also to work with students on research projects. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science at Syracuse University in 1996. He held in the past positions at GMD (now Fraunhofer), NASA, Argonne National Laboratory, and Indiana University.
