Our Mission & Vision

We solve real-world problems by untangling their complex and interacting causes.

The Biocomplexity Institute (BI) focuses on solving complex problems that cannot be solved within the narrow confines of a single discipline or by a single researcher – we have developed a unique transdisciplinary team science approach to tackle such problems.

Together, we work to foster global collaborative networks to advance our unique research agenda and to develop innovative experiential learning programs for students.

Meet the Team

We believe in teamwork to tackle big challenges—breaking down silos because no single field can solve complex problems alone. Our diverse research teams unite different perspectives and skills, all driven by a common goal: using computational tools to solve tough issues that impact humanity.
